Some people don’t notice the little things like this, but for other users that are more visually-oriented, it is a pretty big deal. (See what I did there? Pretty?) How to disable the “Get CRM for Outlook” banner

You log into your CRM Online environment and what do you see? The “Get CRM for Outlook banner”. Well you already have CRM for Outlook loaded and you just don’t want to see it anymore. There is an easy way to disable that banner.

Go into Settings/Administration/System Settings

Go into the Outlook tab and find the selection where is says “Set whether users see CRM for Outlook message” and change the selection to “No”.

Thoughts about Program Managers from a CRM Consultant and Support Engineer perspective

There’s quite a few articles that discuss the benefits of Program Managers and Program Management, but I’m going to give my perspective from my experiences while working on the Microsoft CRM Support team and as a Microsoft CRM consultant.  Summit Group Software has Program Managers involved in projects, both Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.  Program Managers can help with these projects in quite a few ways and tend to “wear many hats” while helping with these projects.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 Outlook Client: Upgrading to 2015

If you’ve ever worked with the Outlook Client for CRM, then you know it can be quite finicky sometimes. One issue that I have come across recently is trying to upgrade to the 2015 Microsoft Dynamics Outlook Client. After I got through the majority of the process, this error was displayed (below). There is a link to click to view the log file, but looking through that didn’t do much good either.
